I offer counseling services in Simsbury, CT to help women in transition who may be facing emotional issues due to aging, bereavement, separation, divorce or gray divorce, workplace conflict, work-life balance, job loss, retirement or empty nest. These major life changes can cause anxiety, depression, loss, grief and self-esteem issues. I’d be happy to answer in confidence any questions not covered here.

There are several payment options available to you. I believe in the value of the counseling process and the importance of using our time together to be of the highest benefit to you. Sessions are scheduled weekly and can also be available every other week, if that is therapeutically indicated.

I offer assistance as an out of network insurance provider. I will provide you with a reimbursement form for you to submit to your insurance company. Payment to me is due at the time of each session. Check with your insurance company to see if they will cover out of network provider reimbursement and how much they will reimburse.

I do have a sliding fee scale available, based on income.

Sessions are generally scheduled weekly for each month. We can discuss options for a package session fee.

A counseling session is your time and space to talk about what is troubling you in your life and what you are seeking. Your counselor wants to get to know you and work with you to develop the goals that will help you find what you are looking for. Through counselor questions and feedback a picture will start to emerge of your history, patterns, fears and coping mechanisms.

You will discover and identify blocks and issues that hold you back. Key to this discovery is learning to understand where these blocks and issues developed and why. The safe, confidential atmosphere and trusting relationship you develop with your counselor will serve as the foundation to your therapy process.

You may be struggling with making a major life decision and feeling overwhelmed emotionally. Perhaps you are receiving advice from well meaning family and friends and it is leaving you even more confused and stressed. A counselor is a professional trained in skilled listening and therapy techniques that can help you sort out your problems, get to know yourself better and help you find what is best for you.

Through the process of therapy, you can explore whatever patterns and life issues that keep you feeling stuck. Feeling the safety, support and non-judgment of your counselor, you can feel free to get to know and understand yourself better, heal your hurts and vision the direction and dreams you have for yourself.
