A counseling session is your time and space to talk about what is troubling you in your life and what you are seeking. Your counselor wants to get to know you and work with you to develop the goals that will help you find what you are looking for. Through counselor questions and feedback a picture will start to emerge of your history, patterns, fears and coping mechanisms.

You will discover and identify blocks and issues that hold you back. Key to this discovery is learning to understand where these blocks and issues developed and why. The safe, confidential atmosphere and trusting relationship you develop with your counselor will serve as the foundation to your therapy process.
